This Refund and Cancellation Policy applies to all online transactions made through the website kalimandircrpark.com (the "Website") operated by Chittaranjan Park Kali Mandir Society (Regd.) ("we", "us", "our", or "the Society"). Please read this policy carefully before making any payment.
1. Donations
Donations made to Chittaranjan Park Kali Mandir Society are voluntary contributions made in good faith towards the temple's religious, cultural, and charitable activities.
- Non-Refundable: All donations are final and non-refundable once successfully processed, as they are utilised for the temple's ongoing operations, worship, maintenance, and community services.
- Duplicate or Erroneous Donations: If you have been charged more than once for the same donation due to a technical error, or if the amount debited is different from what you intended, please contact us within 7 days of the transaction. We will review your request and process a refund for the duplicate or excess amount after verification.
2. Puja Bookings & Ritual Services
For online payments made towards puja bookings, special rituals, or religious services:
- Cancellation by Devotee: If you wish to cancel a puja booking, please notify us at least 48 hours before the scheduled date by contacting the temple office. A refund will be processed after deducting any non-recoverable costs (such as materials already purchased for the puja).
- Cancellation by the Society: If the Society is unable to perform the booked puja or service due to unforeseen circumstances (such as temple closure, natural calamity, or other unavoidable events), you will be offered a full refund or the option to reschedule to a mutually agreeable date.
- No-Show: If you do not attend or avail the booked service without prior cancellation, no refund will be provided.
3. Yatri Niwas (Accommodation) Bookings
For online payments made towards Yatri Niwas accommodation:
- Cancellation more than 7 days before check-in: Full refund of the booking amount.
- Cancellation 3–7 days before check-in: 50% refund of the booking amount.
- Cancellation less than 3 days before check-in: No refund will be provided.
- Early Check-Out: No refund will be provided for unused nights in case of early departure.
- Cancellation by the Society: If the Society cancels your booking due to maintenance, overbooking, or any other reason, a full refund will be processed.
4. Other Online Payments
For any other services or payments made through the Website (such as event registrations, cultural programme tickets, or merchandise, if applicable):
- Refund eligibility will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
- Please contact the temple office within 7 days of the transaction for any refund requests.
5. Failed or Incomplete Transactions
If a payment is debited from your account but the transaction fails or does not complete on our end:
- The amount is typically auto-reversed by your bank or payment provider within 5–7 business days.
- If you do not receive the reversal within 7 business days, please contact us with your transaction details (transaction ID, date, amount, and bank/payment method used). We will coordinate with the payment gateway to resolve the issue.
- Please do not initiate a repeat payment until you have confirmed that the original transaction was not processed.
6. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please contact us with the following information:
- Your full name (as used during the transaction).
- Transaction ID or payment reference number.
- Date and amount of the transaction.
- Reason for the refund request.
- Your preferred mode of refund (original payment method or bank transfer).

7. Refund Processing Time
Once a refund is approved:
- Credit/Debit Card: The refund will be credited to the original card within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.
- Net Banking / UPI: The refund will be credited to your bank account within 5–7 business days.
- Wallets: The refund will be credited to the original wallet within 3–5 business days.
Please note that the actual time may vary depending on your bank or payment provider. The Society is not responsible for delays caused by third-party financial institutions.
8. Chargebacks
We request that you contact us directly to resolve any payment disputes before initiating a chargeback with your bank or card issuer. Chargebacks initiated without prior communication may result in delays and additional verification requirements.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund and Cancellation Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. The policy in effect at the time of your transaction will apply to that transaction.
