Best Time to Visit
The temple welcomes devotees throughout the year. However, certain times offer a particularly enriching experience:
- Early Morning (Mangal Arati): The most serene and spiritually uplifting time. Witness the first arati of the day in a peaceful atmosphere with fewer crowds.
- Evening (Sandhyarati): The evening arati is a grand affair with devotional chanting, bells, and the beautiful ambience of oil lamps. Followed by the Musical Fountain show (Tuesday–Sunday).
- Durga Puja (October): The grandest celebration at CR Park, attracting thousands of visitors. The five-day festival features elaborate decorations, cultural programmes, and traditional rituals.
- Kali Puja (October/November): As the temple of Goddess Kali, this night-long celebration on the new moon of Kartik month is especially significant.
- Weekday Mornings: For a quieter darshan experience, weekday mornings between 8:00 AM and 11:00 AM are ideal.
For first-time visitors, we recommend arriving during Sandhyarati to experience the full devotional atmosphere, followed by the Musical Fountain show.
