About the Managing Committee
The Chittaranjan Park Kali Mandir Society is governed by an elected Managing Committee that oversees all aspects of the temple's operations, community services, cultural activities, and financial management. The committee is elected by the life members of the Society, who currently number over 640.
The Managing Committee comprises the President, Vice Presidents, Secretary, Treasurer, Joint Secretaries, and regular members. The committee works through six functional divisions, each headed by a Chairman and managed by a Convenor, to ensure smooth and comprehensive operation of the temple and its many facilities.

Division Responsibilities
- Puja Division: Oversees all daily pujas, aratis, festivals, and religious ceremonies at the temple. Manages the priests (sevayats) and ritual schedules.
- Organisation: Handles administrative functions, membership management, general body meetings, elections, and overall coordination of the Society's affairs.
- Cultural & Sports: Organises cultural programmes, competitions, sports events, musical events, and recreational activities for the community.
- Dharmashala: Manages the Yatri Niwas guest accommodation, canteen operations, room bookings, and upkeep of the guest house facilities.
- Social & Library: Runs the Vivekananda Centenary Library, free Homeopathy & Naturopathy dispensaries, Yoga centre, Bengali language classes, and other social welfare programmes.
- IT & Website: Manages the official website, digital communications, social media presence, and IT infrastructure of the Society.
Governance Structure
The Chittaranjan Park Kali Mandir Society is a registered society governed by its constitution. Key aspects of the governance structure include:
- Elections: The Managing Committee is elected through a democratic process by the life members of the Society for a defined term.
- Life Members: The Society has over 640 life members who have the right to vote in committee elections and participate in general body meetings.
- Annual General Meeting (AGM): An AGM is held annually where the committee presents its activities report, audited financial statements, and seeks approval from the general body.
- Transparency: The committee operates with transparency and accountability, publishing notices, newsletters, and financial reports for the members and community.
- Voluntary Service: All committee members serve in a voluntary capacity, dedicating their time and efforts for the betterment of the temple and community.
