Overview
The Yatri Niwas (Dharmashala) at the Chittaranjan Park Kali Mandir Society provides charitable accommodation for visiting devotees, pilgrims, and travellers coming to Delhi. Located within the serene 3.5-acre Mandir Complex, the guest house offers a peaceful and convenient stay in the heart of Chittaranjan Park, with easy access to the temple and all its facilities.
Originally established with 30 double-bedded rooms with attached bathrooms, the Yatri Niwas has been modernised and expanded over the years to serve a growing number of visitors from across India and abroad.
Accommodation & Facilities
The Yatri Niwas offers a range of comfortable room options to suit varying needs and budgets. The facility currently provides approximately 60 beds across the following categories:
12 AC Rooms
Air-conditioned double-bedded rooms with attached bathrooms, ideal for families and guests seeking comfort in all seasons.
12 Cooler Rooms
Double-bedded rooms equipped with air coolers and attached bathrooms, offering a comfortable and economical stay during the warmer months.
3 Dormitories
Each dormitory accommodates 6 beds, suitable for individuals and groups looking for budget-friendly shared accommodation.
Additional Amenities
- Attached Bathrooms: All rooms come with attached bathrooms fitted with geysers for hot water supply during winter months.
- Room Coolers in Summer: Cooler rooms are equipped with desert coolers for the summer season (April – October), ensuring a pleasant stay even during Delhi's heat.
- Hot Water in Winter: Hot water is available in all bathrooms during the winter months (November – March).
- Clean & Well-Maintained: The rooms and common areas are regularly cleaned and maintained to high standards of hygiene.
- 24-Hour Security: The Mandir Complex has security personnel and CCTV surveillance for the safety of all guests.
- Proximity to Temple: The Yatri Niwas is located within the temple complex, allowing easy access to all darshan and puja sessions.
Canteen & Dining
The Mandir Complex features a canteen that serves both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food at nominal rates. The canteen caters to guests of the Yatri Niwas as well as visitors and staff within the complex. Meals are prepared fresh and are available during regular dining hours. This is a significant convenience for guests, eliminating the need to venture out for meals.
Booking Information
Accommodation at the Yatri Niwas can be booked in advance to ensure availability, particularly during peak festival seasons such as Durga Puja, Kali Puja, and other major celebrations.

Tip: Rooms get booked quickly during festival seasons (especially Durga Puja in October). It is strongly recommended to book at least 2 months in advance for visits during peak periods.
Dharmashala Division
The Yatri Niwas is managed by the Dharmashala Division of the Chittaranjan Park Kali Mandir Society. The division is responsible for the upkeep, management, and operations of the guest accommodation facility.

Rules & Guidelines for Guests
All guests staying at the Yatri Niwas are kindly requested to observe the following rules and guidelines to ensure a pleasant experience for everyone:
- Valid ID Required: All guests must present a valid government-issued photo ID (Aadhaar, passport, voter ID, etc.) at the time of check-in.
- Advance Booking Recommended: Walk-in accommodation is subject to availability. Advance booking is strongly recommended, especially during festivals.
- Maximum Stay: The maximum length of stay is 7 days. Extensions may be considered on a case-by-case basis, subject to availability.
- No Smoking & No Alcohol: Smoking, consumption of alcohol, and use of any intoxicating substances are strictly prohibited within the Yatri Niwas and the Mandir Complex.
- Noise & Decorum: Guests are requested to maintain a peaceful environment. Loud music and disruptive behaviour are not permitted, especially after 10:00 PM.
- Property Care: Guests are responsible for any damage caused to room furniture, fixtures, or fittings during their stay. Charges may be levied for damages.
- Visitor Policy: Outside visitors to guest rooms are not permitted after 9:00 PM for security reasons.
- Check-out Timings: Guests must vacate the room by 11:00 AM on the day of check-out. Late check-out may attract additional charges.
- Valuables: Guests are advised to safeguard their valuables. The management is not responsible for any loss of personal belongings.
- Temple Etiquette: When visiting the temple, guests are requested to dress modestly and follow all temple rules and customs.
