About the Temple
Founded on 4 March 1973, the Chittaranjan Park Kali Mandir stands as a beacon of Bengali culture in Delhi. The imposing Kali Temple, built in Bengal terracotta architecture in February 1984, houses shrines to Goddess Kali, Lord Shiva, and Radha-Krishna. Terracotta overlays were added between 2006–2009, enhancing its magnificent appearance.

The temple is the spiritual heart of Chittaranjan Park, a colony established for Bengali refugees displaced during the 1947 Partition. Known as "Mini Kolkata" of Delhi, it serves approximately 2,000 Bengali families across its many blocks, preserving rich cultural traditions far from Bengal.

☙ ॐ ☙The temple celebrates all major Hindu festivals with traditional Bengali fervour
Durga Puja
The grandest celebration at CR Park, the Durga Puja tradition began in 1977 and attracts thousands of devotees from across Delhi-NCR. The five-day festival features elaborate pandals, cultural programmes, and traditional rituals.
Kali Puja
As the presiding deity temple, Kali Puja holds special significance. Celebrated on the Amavasya (new moon) night of Kartik month, the temple comes alive with midnight rituals and devotional fervour.
Saraswati Puja & More
The temple also celebrates Saraswati Puja, Annapurna Puja, Jagadhatri Puja, Maha Shivratri, Ram Navami, Janmashtami, Rath Yatra, Holi Milan, Poush Mela, and many other festivals throughout the year.
Yatri Niwas – Guest Accommodation
The Dharmashala at Chittaranjan Park Kali Mandir Society provides charitable accommodation for visiting devotees and travellers. The facility offers comfortable rooms with modern amenities at nominal charges.
